Summer Sailstice Regatta & Party
Join us in the worldwide sailing event, to celebrate sailing. We will be showcasing our boats as we collectively sail as a club around the lake to celebrate the longest day of the year. Our goal is to CLEAR THE DOCKS! We will have on the water sailboat photography, a sail parade around the lake, all culminating in a sunflower raft up, where we will share an on the lake picnic and splash bash! We have obtained a permit from the state fro this unprecedented event! Bring your bathing suit, picnic basket, flags, and summer floaty. Sign up at the link below! Weather decision will be made Saturday at 12pm and we will notify all registered participants accordingly and post in the Facebook event.
The schedule for the social event is as follows:
- 1:30pm - SHOW CASE CHECK IN (meet at the docks to get your copy of the parade path map and event streamer)
- 2-4pm - SHOWCASE (leave the docks on your boat, with crew, and sail the designated parade path, to be provided upon check in, don't forget to smile for the photographer!)
- 4-6pm - SUNFLOWER RAFT UP & Picnic / Swimming (gather at the south end of the lake in designated area and raft up with participating boats, location to be provided upon check in)
Lastly, be prepared for high water when approaching the docks, as the lake has not dropped in level.
