Beeping Continues - Same boat? Hard to say 0 Replies
Day…? The beeping continues at ACSA – the boat in B33 is beeping. We are asking/begging from on our knees that you please 1) immediately come to the club and turn off the stargazer transponder or whatever is causing the constant beeping or 2) tell us how to do it. It’s just not relaxing. Further, if you want to stay on your boat, it makes it hard to nap or sleep.
Thank you!

Seeking ride for July 1 including small children 0 Replies
We recently moved to Westerville and were hoping that our family of four, including a four-year-old and a one-year-old, might be able to arrange for a ride on a sailboat on Tuesday, July 1, my wife’s birthday, preferably some time between late morning or afternoon, but we are flexible as to time. Please call or text Frank at 646-504-1865 if you are aware of an option to do so. Thanks!

Hobie Help 0 Replies
Any help in rigging and sailing a Hobie would be greatly appreciated. We now have a 2017 Hobie T2. My last Hobie I called the “Blood boat”. Because I never seemed to return without some significant laceration or another. Hoping for a less painful outcome this time!

Thank you!!!!!

New to Club Racing 0 Replies
I am hopeful to add my boat (O’Day 23) to the fleet of club racers for Wednesday night regatta, but I would love to have the opportunity to crew on a vessel first to learn and then would love to have an experienced person on my boat for its first race as well. My cell is 740.602.0823. Please text me if you would allow me to crew or could help me on my boat’s maiden race. I did race FJ’s for Ohio Wesleyan but that was in 1991-1995, so its been a minute… Thank you! Robert Owens

Mast Raising System 0 Replies
I’m planning to use the MRS this afternoon to (hopefully) step the mast on our J24 “La Mafiosa”. I’ll be out there around 4:30–5:00 PM if anyone’s around and wants to test the phrase, “Third time’s the charm.”

I was fortunate to get a spot at the Mast up lot so for the last time I’ll be using the MRS tackle tomorrow morning at 10am. Could use another set of hands if anyone is available. Krispy Kreme donuts and coffee for the crew and spectators alike!

Sail Cleaning & Repair 0 Replies
Keeping our sailboats in good operating condition for safety and enjoyment is what we do. The sails can be 25-50% of the value of our boats. Sails need both cleaning and maintenance to extend the life, saving money vs waiting until there’s a failure that shortens your sailing season.
Ullman Cleveland sail company provides repairs as well as professional cleaning. I’ve used their services in the past and am very happy with the results.
Greg owns Ullman Cleveland and a loft on Annapolis where the sails will be soaked overnight then hang dried. The cleaning is a chemical process that includes a restorative coating. Be weary of some companies that will claim to restore sails. The results msy look good but will ultimately shorten sail life.
Ullman Cleveland will inspect the sails before cleaning, clean the sails, then make any necessary repair following cleaning and store your sails until spring, at no cost, if you like.
Cleaning pricing is $5 per pound plus $25 to transport to the Annapolis site.
The goal is to have enough acsa sailors participate that we will transport all the sails at once, December date to be determined Ullman will store the sails until spring at no additional cost.
Please rsvp to jimlubinsky2@gmail.com your interest in participating.

Yamaha 6ph for you or the trash. 0 Replies
All: I purchased a new motor for my Hunter 23. So to a good home I have a Yamaha 6hp 2 stroke 1995 available. It starts on the first or second pull. But is does have an issue with the cooling system. It often needs a wire to be inserted into the cooling exit to get the fater to flow. Once this is done it runs great until it is stopped and then needs the wire again. It has not been the impleller, I have changed it many times as well as the housing and gaskets associated with the impeller. If you want this good little motor. let me know. Tom Wehrung 614-256-3240

Driver or towing company needed to transport our Hunter 240 0 Replies
Hello Sailing family!
Molly and I are purchasing a Hunter 240 Tuesday. Our truck can tow her but we do not have extended mirrors to see behind her. Additionally, we do not have the experience of towing 32’. We’ve towed our 19’ trailer with the Catalina 14.2
She is located in Phoenixville, east of Philadelphia off the 76 freeway (approximately 466 miles to Acres Aweigh/7 hours). She has a swing keel so she sits down on the trailer. The trailer has new brakes as of April 2023 and is in great condition overall.
Who do you know that we could hire to tow her back to Acres Aweigh? This could be an individual or a company. We will have her insured by Tuesday.
Thanks for your help, as always!
Kel and Molly Marie
