Let's Get Social | We need Event Captains!

You, the membership, voted again to support a robust social calendar and budget, and now I need to know what events interest you the most. I held a planning meeting with three members, to discuss what parties we would like to see come to our club this year. We have a lot of great ideas and are very excited about the updates to the improvements we ran last year. Here the list of large events we put on our calendar for 2019.
- July 20, 2019 -16th ANNIVERSARY of FACILITY & MEMBERSHIP CELEBRATION
- July 28, 2019 - SUNDAY FUNDAY
- August 10, 2019 - END of SUMMER SPLASH BASH
- September 14, 2019 - OSU v Indiana TAILGATE
- October 12, 2019 - OLD FOX REGATTA PARTY
- December 14, 2019 - THE COMMODORE'S BALL
After discussing for more than 5 hours within our small group, my key take away is that we desperately need your help. Our plans aren't feasible without the support of the membership. The biggest ask/need right now is, I am looking for "Event Captains" to take ownership of any event. I have event outlines for each event, and plan to still support each event, but, would like to see more ownership from the membership. If you sign up to be an Event Captain, you would pick your crew to help plan and execute your event. I'm open to new ideas so bring your A-game. Who knows, maybe we will start a competition to see who Captained the best event this year! All kidding aside, I really do need new blood to step up and take ownership.

Without your help, the program is not sustainable and the club can't expect the same results year after year. Help me in continuing the social program that we all love and cherish. If I do not recieve Event Captains for each event, I will have to choose which events to continue with, and which ones to cancel.
I personally feel that our social program re-vamp last year directly impacted our significant increase in membership and brought a new positive attitude within the club that we needed to get back to. Let's not lose what we've worked hard to implement thus far.
