Ohio law requires everyone born after January 1, 1982 to take a boaters education class (Ohio Boaters Education Course) and pass the proctored exam in order to be able to operate a boat with a motor larger than 10HP.
ACSA is committed to boating safety and offers a number of these classes to all boaters to help them comply with the law. Courses are held at the Alum Creek Watercraft Field Office at 3305 South Old State Rd in Delaware Ohio.
All classes consist of two 4-hour sessions starting at 18:00 and ending at 22:00 each evening. The classroom fee includes study materials, instruction, refreshments and the proctored OBEC test.
